iOS Guidelines
Apple has specific requirements for app icons:
- No transparency: iOS icons must be opaque
- No rounded corners: iOS automatically applies corner radius
- Simple design: Avoid small details that won't scale
- Single focus: One clear visual element
Recommended export:
- PNG format
- All iPhone and iPad sizes
- 1024×1024 for App Store
Android Guidelines
Google's Material Design icon guidelines:
- Adaptive icons: Provide foreground and background layers
