Choosing the Right Format
For Mobile Apps (iOS/Android)

Mobile platforms require specific pixel dimensions:
- iOS: PNG files at exact sizes (120px, 180px, etc.)
- Android: PNG files for different densities (mdpi, hdpi, etc.)
For Web/PWA
Recommended: PNG + SVG
- Use PNG for favicons and app manifest icons
- Use SVG for inline icons and responsive elements
For Desktop Apps (Windows)
Recommended: ICO + PNG
- ICO for Windows native integration
- PNG for cross-platform consistency
For Desktop Apps (macOS)
Recommended: PNG
- macOS uses ICNS format, but PNG works for most cases
